standing on a shadow's lace

Restless

dark eyes still see
they recognize shape
and drown in somber
can not escape
toss and turn
in blistered sleep
beneath the skin
hurt runs deep
sun and moon
another sad duet
reminds of a touch
I can not forget
links once formed
broken heart chained
to deeper sink
in weight of strain

I’m not sure how many would think of the sun and the moon
As a sad duet.
But when you think of how they share the sky and seldom are together,
Well even the bright sun would darken at that
Eclipsed by the moon.

I like this one,
But are you still chained to the sink
By the broken heart?
