I know Santa doesn't make miracles,
but I still want to believe
he is on my side.
I don't know who does make the miracles,
but I do know they exist.
Some say it's God who makes these miracles.
Some say it's the unconditional love
of a family member or close friend,
sometimes, even a kind stranger
who refuses to give up.
It may just be it's all due
to the strength of the one
who needs it the most
who refuses to give up;
someone who just needs a very long break
from the chores of day-to-day living
that tax both body and brain.
A young man named Terry
who has been comatose since 1984
woke up June 2003,
and said "mom"....
startling a family
who had never given up on Terry,
but who surely had stopped hoping
for a miracle such as this
years ago.

Welcome back, Terry.
Your 19 year old daughter
wants to say hello
to her daddy.

thanks friends

This story will no doubt have some questioning if it's 'right or wrong' to pull lifeline plugs.
