Listening to every heart

Just The Morning

This is it,
just the morning for the gaze
into my soul,
because of foggy haze
laying low
across the land, white and gray
this is the morning
for the gaze.

There is always a
quiet reverie
come to my bones in such a way
as to not chill,
nor to scare away
any old ghosts, but come to play
in all the words
I want to say.

Gray now the morning, misty cool,
ah youth,
such a vigorous fool
and the tears,
would fill with rain
a pool
of the life in which I swam
though now gone,
for stronger, I am.

This is it, just the morning
for the gaze
into my soul, by and because
of foggy haze
laying low
across the land, white and gray
yes,
this is the morning
for the gaze.

Beautiful, Karilea.
I see that Chris and Liz love it, too.
