staring at the road so close to the ocean and far from the shore
i place a humbled step and walked a couple more
and i find that i am no more lost than where i was before
so i journey along its segways, its twists and its falls
a poet looking for inspiration but none of it befalls
because this road is just not life, it resembles nothing of the such
this road is just a road of nothing more and less than much
so wander it i could and find the adventures of fairy tails
but as i wander i see no legends no monsters or deadly trails
just miles of nothingness empty and never done
someone just left me here with a pen and said have some fun
but now the road is disappearing there's no where left to travel
this pen of mine is useless if there is no more gravel
now i guess it is the end so in my final breath
i will tell you of all the places i've been......................it's all been emptiness

Well, I do believe, dear poet, that the "nonexistent road" of "emptiness" has in and of itself, been a great source of inspiration! Great poem!

Wow, that's a very interesting road considering the ending.
I enjoyed this write, Gavin. Keep that pen busy.
