Thoughts of a Turtle

I feel a bit like a turtle today
Watching the speed of the rabbits in play
They’re whizzing by to the breakfast field
I’ll get there but at a slower yield

I don’t know why their in such a rush
For that’s what makes for the mornings crush
Eggs are eggs and toast is toast
It makes no difference to the host.

I like a slower pace much more
But to a rabbit it is a bore
They race around the track in speed
Do you really think there is the need?

To me the end is but an end
It is for foe and for the friend
It lays there just beyond in wait
And believe me friend you wont be late.

So do not race your life away
Enjoy what time you have to stay.

Morning. I think even a turtle is faster than me in the morning. I have one speed and that is super slow more like a snail. LOL
Good one.

Rabbits live two years in the wild..... even a box turtle lives 50, and that's short for a turtle....but of course, he's faster than most -- speed kills!

Priceless write here this morn Sy..
What is the big rush anyway?
We're all headed in the same general direction..
Just some of us get there sooner than others.
~Morning hugs and tea, Nancy~

Seymour, As you might have noticed, my comments are always a little "turtlish" lol....I am slow to get going in the mornings. I never did know what the rush was all about. Blessed am I to be able to savour my tea and toast each new day. Speaking of which....strawberry preserves on your toast this Sunday? Yummy. hugs, Chris

Sy...when you slow down, you have more chance to think about the value of things, like breakfast.

Your shell or mine   *winkiewinkie* LOL

Dragons and turtles have been on this earth longer than rabbits...what does that tell you?

c'mon over and I'll wax your shell. LOL

If you don't mind, I'm going to frame this... and show it to the next person who tries to hurry me! LOL Or maybe send it to someone who never slows down... or both! LOL

I needed these smiles, my friend...

Seymour,
I keep looking at the time saying, "I got to get going."

But where the heck am I going?

You are so right.

Superb!

JM,
Your shell or mine I don't care
As long as you and I are there
I'll whisper you a turtles tale
One of the ocean where I sail.
WWRS

suthern,
And I need your clever answers.

Patricia
You sound like Alice in wonderland.
