standing on a shadow's lace

Ebb

my heart beats
         in tones
                 inaudible
                        to most
                     if you
                can hear it
           its melody
       is the song
of the tide
       out it goes
              and plays
                     gently ebbing
                  in search
             riding back
           to shore
with liquid
        fingers exploring
               creeping closer
                     and closer
                   singing come
              catch me
       come catch me
on the edge

"if you keep looking back, you are going to miss your whole life" Unknown

this reminds me of how we used to go along the beach and pick up those big conch shells and listen in them

you tease the shore m'lady -- this one crests and breaks like a woman's heart -- but has the power to rearrange the world

Helen, this is beautiful, the style, the flow, the message.  This is a keeper~

I like where you've been,
when you come back with a poem.

This is very nice.
