My attraction is desirous
flirtatious to the point of being dangerous
perhaps it is the riddle in your rhyme
or the power of suggestion
that stimulates my imagination.

Magnified behind the class
amplifying the sound of laughter
caught up in a lyrical dance
two stepping in time
pressed between the pages
reading you over in my silence.

Your voice echos below the surface
like a dream I've never dreamt
subtle whispers lie in wait
remaining hidden between the lines
like the beginning of a poem
without a proper finish.

ahhhhh yessssss...the seduction of poets and poetry....the ultimate pretty blue flame

the moth loves this one Lori-girl...

your opening first lines are poetry in motion...as are your closing.
Well done groovy one

Well ... OK ... but you have to wash it first.

(bumper sticker humor) ;)

The ultimate pretty blue flame...
Only you could come up with that
and understand where I'm coming from.

I tell you, I'm seriously thinking about trading my muse in.

Thank you so much my mothy friend. Hugs JM~

A very attractive write!

Your voice echos below the surface
like a dream I've never dreamt

Also very evocative. The dream waits to be dreamt!

Love and hugs. Margherita

Loved this look at the dangerous lyrical dance of words that can captivate.

Thank you for your meaningful reply Margherita....that was so nice of you.

Like playing fire eh?  I've learned a few things in my life and times, one being, how far I can go before I get burned.  Thanks for reading Kacy~

Lori...words are powerful and can be used in good and bad ways...sometimes it's hard to know the difference.  Read between the lines and listen to your heart.

don't trade your muse in just yet -- this is showing a developing side -- it is maturing and possibly ready for matriculation... this strophe spells the eve of inspiration....this is your best yet -- and the harbinger of what is to come...
