Condiment

To speak across a field of real
We try to leave some sweet appeal
Either that or a pepper dip
To give the taste a little zip.

Or else the bland will slip away
And loss itself along the way
And be a simple blade of grass
Or grain of sand for time to pass

You prime the powder of your shell
With the deepest wishes of your well
Aim the arrow for the heart
That is the place that you must start

It’s either that or fantasy
The knight or maid of phantoms be
A place of chosen spirits dwell
A sanctuary or a hell

I wish you well your voyage wend
And much success before the end

Yep, need those condiments.  Taste of life is often too bland. Give me spicy flavor any day.

A great write!

Oooh late again I am. Sorry Seymour, I have been watching my three baby robins leave the nest one by one. It must be so scarey yet thrilling for them.   Anyway....your words are the spice of life and I thankyou for this mornings read. Toast and marmalade with your tea? hugs, Chris ~
