Perched together upon the jungle gym
The ground watching us from below
Lit by azure streaks flashing across the sky
And by the countless stars twinkling in the heavens above
“Make a wish on that star” you said
And pointed to the brightest point
Shining out from the hazy abyss
I closed my eyes and searched myself
And thought of those things I had waited so long for
Of the one thing I thought would never happen
But as I wrapped my arms around you
And our lips met
With that short kiss
My wish came true
