A pedigree alliance
in a brokerage of hearts
turns my feelings into dreams,
then brings my dreams to life;
but,
there are no answers in the sky.
Diamonds hiding there are lies,
truth can not be found in fantasy;
for,
problems of the mind are real.
Tangibles I dream of feeling
fade as light disturbs the haze of sleep;
and,
pillow patterns I design
from aberrations of the mind
can bleed out freely from a careless touch.
So,
my world is built of solid thought,
not bits of images I've bought
transplanted as my wishes or my dreams.

I hope that mine is the same, but there are times when I'm utterly assured it is not.

Which may be the same for you, else why write this gem?

I lost count of the number of times I read this...
when all came down to replying,
found it hard to do so,

don't know why.

But these lines touched me a great deal.

Thanks, Ice...

Local Rebel ~ *smile* Yes, well, my Muse developed a slight rash which needed treatment.  Thank you for reading and for your comment.

paladin ~ True, but I am always conflicted as to whether or not thought is the tangible or the catalyst.  Thank you for your comment.

Sunshine ~ That's funny, I lost track of how many times I re-wrote those lines.  Thank you for taking time to comment.

Your poem raises a lot of questions.  Let's just put the thought/dream/wishes/hopes issue all down to creative endeavours inexplicably bound to each other and operating on a natural cycle and then we'll understand it perfectly.  How's that?  *smile*  We are the catalysts!

Oh my--

I finally slept and wake to a poetic champagne brunch.

Exquisite writing--
a rash, huh? Maybe just a touch of alchemy.

This is solid gold, m'friend.
