Dogs
Dog owners are a funny lot I know I am one too,
but I wonder if it really is the dog that might own you!
Barking when he wants his food, barking for his walk,
and aren't we not just barking mad for thinking they can talk?

Food when they are hungry water when they pant,
doing very little and getting what they want.
And when you are alone with them they do just as you say,
But try to impress others, obedient...noway.

They've got their favourite slipper, got their favourite ball,
whilst you just run around for them at their beck and call.
The best of food and loads of it, while you sit and eat your beans,
patted stroked and pampered just like Kings and Queens.

So never say that dogs are daft or animals are dumb,
for it's you that does the work all day while they sit there on their bum.
How often when they've been chastised do they take on the mournful looks
knowing that it wont be long till their back in your good books

Mans best friend I've heard them called, now that really is a hoot,
For it's my belief and I think I'm right, the shoes on the other foot.

Well, I agree...it does seem that they have the life of Kings and Queens, but man...am I glad that I don't have to go outside to pee!

HaHa

Great write....made me wanna hug my dog (a 80 pound Rockweiller, and still growing)

Oh these four legged babies of ours. My little dog will not go outside to potty if it is raining, so having a thinking mind I go and get the unbrella so she won't get wet.
In the winter she leans against the house and looks up at me with sad brown eyes cause it's so cold and she just sits down and shivers.LOL Talk about a dogs life.
Good one

whoo, that was great! Seems true, my dog'd quite a brat.

I said I'm going to buy a gun and start a war,
If you can tell me something worth fighting for

Oh!  But here's a sensible idea...just have a cat!  Right!  There's another story.  Enjoyed this, I'd like to share it with my friend whose black lab I'm babysitting today because she can't stand to be alone too long.  sheesh.  Is that ok with you?

They do manage to teach us a few things, don't they.  So do cats.  Horses, birds, most any animal will talk to you - if you listen!

I agree.  We had dogs while raising kids. Now, we have birds, but it's the same thing.

Good one.
