Listening to every heart

What Transpires [Konrad’s Chronicles]

Too easy, it comes to some,
too easy…

Konrad called home, just to see if Iambe would answer,
though when she did,

She dashed his hope
of any conversation.

“Go your way,” she said,
but not “go away”…Konrad heard what she
did not say…

He took heart in that, because he knew
she knew
that he had to look for his,
his reasoning,
maybe, which was there
in the Yucatan jungle,
waiting, perhaps,
although if he were not there to be found
by whomever,
then maybe his father’s bones would be
uncovered, and speak to someone else,
perhaps his father had left a mark,
an impression upon his own remains, in ways
that carry graves and spirits,
but now, Konrad was, and was there,
and the mystic of logic transcribed agony,

“Good God Myrtle” was all he imagined he could hear,

so he blindly hoped he would find something,
anything that he, Konrad, could pick up
and weigh, like gold, or silver, or mercury…

as there were some things he knew he would never handle,
like ashes, dust, and lost time, and in his thought’s hiatus,
in his expectant pause, he waited,
maybe to hear a thunderbolt strike,
for he was in the country of the unknown,

and the unknown could happen
at any time.

Even thunderbolts transpire.

Good to see Konrad again!!!  Tell it Kari...I'll be waiting, impatiently!

"Even thunderbolts transpire."

Oh my dear..do I agree with this line, especially today!
And just where has Konrad been hiding?
Sorry I missed this last night..
I must have been buried under a pile of tulle.
Excellent write m'friend.
