Listening to every heart

The Joining

It’s a deep and residing
Internal throbbing,
When a poet is museless,
No pondering, no wandering, a
Quagmire of quandary,

Where thoughts are amiss
But rambling strife rampant,
Knowing you want to go ~ somewhere ~
Not knowing where it might lead,
Or even why one would take
That road…

                        Yet, that road is taken,
In search of what’s missing inside,
                        To where spirits are held
                        Traveling in thoughts on tides

Floating into the heart of dreams
To rest in that special ~someplace~
Where a soul can find peace
And even a muse can find sweet release...

Perhaps it’s a ying and yang ideal
Half of me in search of muse,
Half of muse, in search
Of me?

Possibly, quite possibly…

Does she follow in my footsteps,
Or am I in search of her?
Would he know me by my touch,
Or does he rest,
Quite assured, that I might stumble
And in my plummet,
Be lifted by my muse’s arms
Ascend to highest summit…

                        Reaching for a plateau
                        Where poet and muse become
                        As one,
                        A subtle realization
                        That this journey together
                        Has just begun....

Oh, does she read my secret thoughts,
Does he feel all that I hold inside?
We shall walk this path together
                        ~Searching~
                        Muse and poet...
                        Side by side.

Muse, my muse, abide with me,
Step by step into destiny,
Whether we walk, or fly,
Shine, or cry,
Muse, my muse, please, abide with me.

~*~

This describes the need to write so well.  And your writing blended so beautifully, it left me guessing just who wrote what.

Great write!

Each line resounds
Reaching beyond bounds
A paean to one who leads us
Two minds joined in joyous
Offering thought that hounds

Your writing oozes into the soul, warming and gentling.  Ken

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

Sorry folks, but the honor was simply all mine.  As busy as Donna has been - as mute as she claims her MUSE to have been, we coincidentally stumbled over a line that we both had to have...and the situation being what it was, the muse held our hands together while we traveled this wayward road...

so thank you all for your generous comments and time to read, and understand what's it like when two poets won't let go of the same line... ...

Yes, Karilea and Donna, quite magic!
And 35000 posts just leaves me speechless ...

35000 sunrays
touched as many
souls dancing
on poet's wings
through this
enchanted forest
known as
Passions in Poetry.
