~~~*~~~
Some write with an air of classic
with words like thou and thee
Others write with simple words
just saying you and me
Some write their poems in free verse
where words hardly ever rhyme
Others write rhyme so fine
and the rhythms in perfect time
There are some of us who want their words
in form with a count of lines
These poems must have the syllables right
for it on paper to look just fine
But most of all please notice
in poetry of every kind
When thoughts are written direct from the heart
a human touch written in you will find
Now with that human touch in poems
with love and care from the heart
The reader will be in tune with the poem
and feel the words right from the start
That's so true ... the heart is always felt, whether there are rhymes or not.
The language of the heart can't be ruled, I think and maybe shouldn't.
Welcome freedom in poetry .... the one factor that counts is the heart.
Love, Margherita
It amazes me that we can know a person, their thoughts, feelings, passions, pains.. so well from their words here. And even without seeing their eyes ..you've caught it right on.
Even in poetry the diversity defines us.. as real!
Hooray Ethel. Great poem and fantastic photo! In my mind, poems written from the heart and soul are the very best.
(smiles) Oh Ethel, this is gorgeous, sweet friend, yes, it is that that makes poetry come alive and entice the senses, to feel, to cry, to laugh, to breathe, to dream, to live! (kiss on cheek) May we always suspense our senses and feel from the heart in all, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ethel, thank you for sharing!
May love and light always shine upon you!
Love,
Noah Eaton
Some of us write with what we've got,
Which in some cases ain't to much
but you've done a wonderful job,
With quite the "human" touch...
