Away

To be away and not to feel
All those senses of the real
Imprisons me in fantasy
By bars of mental imagery

And though the ecstasy exists
And wraps me in a tender mist
Yet I falter in the dark
And cannot feel the real of stark.

This brings brine unto my face
That falls upon your lovely lace
That dries and leaves a powdered white
Upon your golden loving light.

I would the power of our love
To fly us like the snow white dove
To keep us in a third worlds fair
Soul to soul and unaware

I would Eden open its door
And swallow us forevermore.

And, wouldn't that be just wonderful Sy?!
Your pearls of wisdom leave me sitting here pondering on this glorious spring morn.
Please don't tell me everyone is still asleep except you and I here in Pipville?
Come sit and have tea and talk to me..just for a bit.
~Morning hugs~

Happy, spring morning, Mr. T.!

This lovely poem moved me soooo much that I had to read again--and I enjoyed it even more the second time around! You are such an honorable and loving man--and a sonneteer beyond compare!

P.S. Some morning I would love to join you, Nancy & Chris for some chit chat over a nice cup of tea and some delicious treats!

Lovin' hugs for a lovin' poet!

Sy, good afternoon. I've spent 3 days having a fantasy runaway in a castle in the mist. Just can't deal with reality right now!!

Care to join me?

Hugs, Marti
