Where are the words I want to say
Describe the sense of loss I feel today
Even though it happened in the past
I've been away far too long
This is a loss that brought a shock
One that echoes within my heart
How sad that "things" kept me away
I might have found a way to express
The awe she inspired within my soul
Her words were always like a song
They echoed deep within us all
Called forth a need to do our best
Inspired words not be repressed
Her little chipmunk animations danced
Just like her talent across the page
Her heart was always full of praise
I miss her, even though I never met
The lovely woman I know she was
And even though she's in that "better place"
I wish I could have found the words
To tell her in how many ways
She made me laugh, she made me cry
She made we always wonder why
She made me think, such deep thoughts
She made the world a better place
And I know we all miss her cheery face.

... forgive me, poets of Passions, who already knew of this.. but I just was re-reading some of the older things and found out.. and I simply had to write this..

God bless you and keep you, Madame Chipmunk, in that land of fadeless day.. where there is no night there.

I honor you, now and always.

Pepper

It's never too late to say goodbye and honor the memory of someone who touched so many hearts.
Thank you for sharing this tribute to our sweet poetic chipmunk.

Very nicely expressed. We all think about our little Chippymunk everyday. This was so nice of you. Chris

Thank you, my dear.  There is no bad time
to look back on those who brought us so much
joy and love, commitment and a sense of belonging
to each other.  Your words fit perfectly
all that Lyra meant to us.  Bless your heart.
