“IF YOU WOULD”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
When dark of night touches light of day,
and the moon sighs to sun of dawn,
I would come to you then, if you would,
an embrace you to have, one thereon…
If you were ten thousand miles today,
over hills, mountains, and oceans be,
I would come to you there, if you would,
for just one kiss of loving lips, to me…
You are right - one would travel to the ends of the earth for just the right person to love.  Nicely done.
Bill...As always, your poetry speaks to the heart of a romantic. I am one such person. This poem was so beautiful and so passion-flavored. Wow!!! To think that a man would have these loving thoughts and express them so well...is just mind-boggling. Bravo, Bill!!! This poem is as silky smooth as satin sheets; and just as seductive. ***Ivy Rose
You choose the best hour - the dawn - for your wish to merge.... lips upon lips ....
Evokes deep melting. Beautiful.
I'm all puckered up waiting. The poem without the kiss still leads me to sighing though.
