(Just a cute poem that came from my head last Easter! I remember when I was a little boy and every Easter I got those cute little peeps and they looked so cute and adorable I couldn't bear to eat one of them because I feared if I ate them I would hurt them and it made me cry because they look so cute, so I kept them in my room for over half-a-year until they got so stale my mom made me throw them out! LOL! I can't help it, those Peeps are too cute to eat! (giggles)

Marshmallow Peeps
By: Noah Eaton

Marshmallow peeps
In their iridescent hues
They look so sweet
Little fledglings in bloom

Chocolate bunny kisses
From a child to a mother's cheek
Cotton-ears reflecting light of Jesus
Spreading innocence and growth of spring

Robins eggs
Speckled in mother-of-pearl sunlight
Hatching happily after a long winters rest
Little sparrows playing duck, duck, goose until dawns light

Happy lovers
Holding hands in the park
A spring from one heart offered to another
Highlights of the day recited by meadowlarks

A new day has begun
Hydrangea and heather fills the air
Jesus has come
To offer us the strange fire of spring with loving care

Marshmallow peeps
Look as lovely as can be
Making me feel so happy
Feeling the heart of spring so lovingly

And that's the most wonderful thing about creating. It will always be a mystery.

How lovely dear Noah! You touch both sides of Easter, the spiritual and the more "human" one. Very beautifully done.
Happy Easter.
Love and light.

Noah, I never wanted to eat them either! But my sweet tooth overcame my sensitive reluctance. But I don't even buy them anymore, so I'm safe.
What a cute peepsters picture, where did you get it?

BTW, cool new photo!

Noah,

This entire offering is tremendous.
Enjoy the pics and poems....you managed to capture Love....in it all....

I think you ruined my Easter however, for Peeps are my very favorite Easter candy to eat... but how, now can I bite their tiny little heads off...

Loved your story of keeping them half a year...such a sweet, sensitive  heart you have.

Happy Easter, Noah...Hugs, Pat

I liked it although if I liked sugary foods like I used to when I was little I think I would still eat them.  I usaully just give them to my dad because he loves them.  Great poem.  And I like the pictures.

I don't know if today is a good day, or if yesterday was, or if tomorrow will be, but I'd like to think so.

I used to shut my eyes when I bit their heads off! I don't like seeing the eyes of the things I going eat!

Delightful as you are!

Happy hugs,
Linda
