There’s a place behind my writing where I etch each thought of day
Upon my poets board of brood where thoughts just fade away
It is my quiet hiding place, where haunting thoughts can die
And where the ills that plague my soul can find a place to cry

A million words surround me in this dwelling of my muse
A million thoughts endow me with some voices that confuse
But here with all my senses and the scribing which does ease
I greet my bare emotions and find ponder that does please

Sometimes in here the angels sing, while soul and glee do dance
At times the devil comes with curse to leave me not a chance
But here I feel contented with my thoughts and what they bring
My world outside of query asks, and questions everything

When here I use the blanket of my ponder to keep warm
To cover all the naked thoughts that in my mind are born
To share my inner thinking with my hidden room of muse
To tame the found frustrations of the voices that abuse

So come, look passed the scrolling, passed my parchment’s blank disguise
For there you’ll find my ponder and the visions of my eyes
While trying to escape the land of rutted road and way
In company of solitude, within my hideaway

Rick,  thanx for the tour.  You worked
very hard to convey so much to us.  Nicely

We must be attempting the same escape, Rick.  I do see past the words...that is what draws me to your work.  Love this.  The flow is wonderful and the words make me ponder.  You got it together as usual, my friend.

Magnus, thank you very much for your reply, the work that I put into the words is my pleasure, I am glad you came to share.

Dear Patricia, I think that we are all looking for that place, for when we are there nothing else matters to us, our world then might just be small, but big enough to create and relate to our family of friends. Thank you for your lovely reply yet again, very much appreciated and heart felt.

To both of you, again, thank you for your kind words.

Sincerely
Rick

don't you think it is behind all of our words? the joy... the pain... a smile...the deep agony... being lonely... losing all we are and are afraid of in our words?

Yes, Rick, I do think that here at Passions, amongst our family of friends, we have found friends who do look past our words into our hearts from where we write.

It makes us all feel good when we feel somone has seen the meaning beyond our words, doesn't it?

Thank you, agin, my friend, for sharing your heart-felt feelings with us.

Hey Rick, this was really cool. You know, whenever we expose ourselves, even only, through our writing. I think that one can tell quite a bit about a person, by observing how, and what they write about. And, how they interact with the other members, in a written forum, such as this one.

I don’t think we can help, but look, behind the words.

And when we look behind yours, we see the compassionate, insightful, and gracious person, that you are.

A real gentleman’s gentleman!

“Come look behind the words?”

We already have friend, and we like what we see.

Thanks for sharing them with us, and, we look forward only, to seeing more.

Your Pal,

Richy

1slick_lady, that is exactly what I think, the words come from our being, grown from all that we feel, each joy, pain and all that life dishes out; but isn't it wonderful to be able to have such an outlet and to have people as yourself share each feeling and understand.
Thank you so much for this reply, it was very much appreciated.

My Dear friend Ethel, wonderful to see you here again, a world full of friends which we can confide in and show our deepest feelings; expressions from the heart, it is always nice to know that we are not alone, that many feel the same way. Thank you for your comments and reply, as always they are very much appreciated.

My Pal Richy, how are you my friend?, there lays a heart of gold behind your words and a man of compassion, all of which are much appreciated. Thank you so much for this reply, always great to see your kind words.

Dear Dixie, how are you my friend? thanks for your comment, it is always nice to know that you are out there, I hope that love is not far away and that the thought of happiness is constant.

To you all my friends, again thank you.
Take care, till next time.

Sincerely
Rick

I like this very much. I can relate very well.
Writing is the one place we can go where nothing else matters. It's that time we claim. A place with many roads.

Debra, thank you so much for your reply, it is a wonderful place indeed, where we can take any road we wish and dream of what's to come.
