The river runs through me
jeweled renewed
drowning allowing
me I
can finally be
what I see
in the mirrored reflection
of the river
that runs back to me

I always find joy in introspection; not everyone has the ability to be self-aware, or they are afraid of what they'll see when they look.  Nice view of you!  Ken

Sue,

Wonderful, cleansing of self...river and water always reminds me of God, so on a personal level I apply this and it reminds me, according to my beliefs we cannot do it alone. I can be willing only...the rest is up to God...

I rarely 'reflect' what poet had in mind, and when I read a poem, I own it for that moment, like a garment, trying it on, seeing how it fits....

This one fits perfectly....smiling here...

like it much...as I do all your poetry.

Hugs to you, Pat

I've been taking swimming lessons myself

I too am becoming the person i desire to be
& strangely... It was me I've had to overcome... not an easy adversary

I'm proud of you
