I feel romance is not
for us
Its starlit nights
its enchanted lullubies

The fairtale ink fading
barely before turn
of first page

All has become
as the storm
raging
each day
more out of control
with no end in sight

I try to hold on
but as the distance between
steadily grows
My grips losens
and one day maybee let go

I love you
more then anything
but fear in the rush
to defend me
I've lost everything

If you still hear
somewhere out there
i still love you
even through the endless
chasm
that is our bed
each and every tearful
night

I thought this poem was a bit too short, but that's what makes it simple. I like simple.

Cheer up. You will find that someone some day.

Yes Brad,  I too feel that the title is
perfect!  Very nicely said,  and the poem
goes well with it.  Good write.

Brad,

Very well written. The last stanza especially heart touching...

I like this a great deal.

I know the answer to this...having experienced it a few times...one is not fully invested in the relationship...but you knew that...James
