Witching Hour
By: Noah Eaton
5/14/03

Violet comes rushing into the navy blue
Witching hour starts just forty-five minutes too early
The firefighters pull out the flashlights
Trying to find that boy
That boy who can't comprehend...

I want you to love me
Pretend you did even before I was born
Because I've never seen the yield signs
And I've confronted the vampires
Vampires that can't see I've bled enough...

And nightblindness strikes all around me
The embers cancel out and the lampposts are burning
Foreign hands shake me of people I never knew
Retire myself cause I don't see Jupiter coming through
Because it feels like witching hour to me...

I become infatuated with fireflies all of a sudden
Just wishing to have some sparks shine down on me
Chiffon tornadoes come and take me away
And I can't find no hospitality through the silencing
PLEASE...

And nightblindness strikes all around me
The embers cancel out and the lampposts are burning
Foreign hands shake me of people I never knew
Retire myself cause I don't see Jupiter coming through
Because it feels like witching hour to me...

Take me away
Because I keep falling back here
Take me away...
AWAY...

What were you expecting
There's no place to breathe here for you and me
So turn back while you still can
TURN AWAY...

Take me away
Because I keep falling back here
Take me away...
AWAY...

TAKE ME AWAY...

Underneath your clothes, there's an endless story

***Shakira***

Your writing is so cool...I've kept my eye out for jupiter also,  and like you, it's bewitching to me too.

I want so much to belive in what I'm seeing, so when they take me away I'll have something real and true to hold onto.

Noah, your writing is really something. I love all your titles, too. But where were the pictures on this one? I always love to see your graphics, too!!

There are several strokes of genius in this extraordinary piece of writing, Dear One.

May the influence of Jupiter, the planet of joy and prosperity, be with you all the days of your life!

Loving hugs,
Linda

For the first time in a long time I have goosebumps...tapping into my nightmares? *hugs* wish I was a better conversationalist you know...

Noah, your talent never ceases to amaze me!
You continue to grow at a steady pace.
Well done my sidekick.

This is effective and evocative and provocative, and I don't have any other words for it, but-excellent.
