Invisible child
weep with me now
sins weigh your soul
not your own
flesh and bone

Smile at me
eyes
tranquility
marred
scarred
blatant disregard
by the blind
who refused to see
beyond the realm
of their deep sleep

Come to me now
weave our thoughts into one
succumb
to what you see

reflection of two
child and adult
how we have fought
inside this shell we call our home
Dry your eyes
atone

Lead me down this bank
a river of fear
warm heart of pain
I am here
to grasp
and hold
your hand

my own   . . .

(big hugggsssssss) Sadly our children are too vulnerable to the river of pain that makes a confluence with the peaceful creek of innocence where the young fawn sips and I just want to make a commitment to lead as many children as I can to where the sun is bright and the grass is green and take them by the hand trustfully! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is very compassionately beautiful, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

wow, that was amazing,
i guess im still a child myself,
im lucky

And I don't want the world to see me 'Cause I don't think that they'd understand When everything's made to be broken I just want you to know who I am

Sue,

I had to switch user names in order to get all bells and whistles to work properly.. This user name: Trish Herrick is my name, so also, is the one you know me by is (Regards2 You), Patricia Thompson, Pat...

I mention it for I have a hard enough time dealing with one of me (plus the parent and child and adult within), let alone any pretense..so no deception or misleading meant; a pseudonym yes, but not a secret...

Trish Herrick works better for replying and doubt I'll use it for poetry writing...

Now then....this is by far the best poem on the subject I have ever read...it is a definite upper...for we must be our own best parent when dealing with such....

You ~hand~led it suberbly....

One time I made a 2-3 ft. cardboard doll of myself, as child,  and left her standing around, ...loving her for all she is worth, adorable she is, as are you and your inner child....

I truly love this well written, sensitive poem.. God bless you...

Many think they can not fight it....but they can...as you said, you take your own hand! Our preciousness cannot be taken away unless we let it...not to say professional help isn't needed...for no one should have to deal alone with such....

Hugs and love, Pat/Trish

Dear Sue, this is wonderful. I love the topic. The child within.... with all its charge of memories and with its innocence.
A dialogue with the self, superbly shaped in words.

Susie,
This is one of the best things that you can gift yourself.
The calming assurances, that you give the child that dwells within.... And the comfort the adult can draw from it.

Sue- It seems like every time I get complacent about writing, you pull out something like this. Another outstanding collection of thoughts.

Day after day I'm more confused,
So I look for the light through the pouring rain...
