You all confuse me.
So close one day,
the next so far away.
How do you do it?

I want you forever hovering near,
instead you turn your back and walk away
leaving me trembling, hoping in vain,
alone, helpless and ashamed.

Do you even realize what you do?
Cause it sure seems like you don't care.

I know this feeling so well Mike, so well. Wonderful write, and I hope you don't feel that way again, ever.

Do you even realize what you do?

Good question.  Do they know what they do or are they totally oblivious?  How can they justify their behavior.

OK, Mike, yes!  My optimism is being compromised today by that soon-to-be ex-husband of mine.   Yikes, this is one stinky day.

Taking it in deep breaths today because that is all I can do.  Thanks for reminding me I am not alone.  Good job with this piece.

Passing Shadows,
Thank you so much. But I must admit this is sort of a constant feeling for me lingering in the back of my mind. This poem merely helped bring these felling to the surface for me.

Great to hear from you again by the way

Patricia,
I'm glad this helped you and that you love the poem. But don't let him get you down. And don't let that wonderful heart of yours get weighted down by despair, Ok?

I think someone needs a prayer And there it goes into the air. Did you see it floating by?
