A Little Rest

My swag bag becomes a drag
It haggles me just like a nag
I’ll hike no further this fine go
I’m drooping like the vines that grow

I’ll strike a match and retire
Put some tea on the fire
Throw my blanket on the greens
Cook me up a can of beans.

Then I’ll lay me down and watch
That gorgeous sky of butterscotch
Drift me into thoughts of seems
And be Sir Galahad in dreams

Oh I love the way of knights
The chase the fights and delights
There is no better argosy
To reach a state of ecstasy

And here within this state of wend
In pleasure will my journey end?

If pleasure is your seek of thought
than no dragons shall you find
just fair and lovely maidens
shall travel through your mind

We'll put you in the castle's keep
draw the bridge up from the moat
in place of tea you'll find mead,
to keep your dreams afloat.

If the air grows dark and chilly
we'll make your blood run warm
and here's a satin pillow for
your head, to keep from harm.

Here's a lovely fair young girl
to play sweet music for your ear
now drift and drift and drift away
for all pleasant thoughts are here.

And Randy is so far away,
beside himself, he cannot play.

I'll put the kettle on the fire,
You rest and dream awhile dear sire.
When you awake we'll have some tea,
Freshly brewed for just you and me!

Beautiful rhyme this morn Sy!

From where I sit looking out at thee ...
thy swag is looking mighty fine to me.
I see no lag or drag in your dragon's spree ...
might I join thee in this of dream of ecstacy,
you bring Randy and we'll have tea for three.

(I'll bring the winkies too)

(LOL at Janet Marie's reply)

Seymour, to me you don't seem to be lagging in your rhyme, verse, or your thoughts. Just rest...until tomorrow when you send us another delightful write. Don't know what we's do without you, sweet friend.

Heart hugs,
Ethel

JM,
It's a date, Randy or I could never resist your very own twinkie winkies. So until our tea with thee, I'll see you in my dreams for three. WWRS
