In Japanese

I thought sayonara
was just a
friendly
way to say
goodbye.

I didn't know
that sayonara
meant that you
no longer wanted
to try.

Sayonara-In Japanese
it means "farewell."
or "If it is to
be that way."

A sad little tune....these tiny lines are so packed with the unsaid that it's hard to measure them.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh James, I was never aware of the full context behind the word, sweet friend, it is truly a painful word to me now, in fact, it might suprise you that the word "fiancee" actually is roughly translated as "financer" and to me that word sounds too capitalistic in engagement! (sigh) This is very heartaching, sweet friend, I send angel hugs your way, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet James, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Words can have so many meanings, depending upon both the speaker's and the listener's intentions and emotional involvement.
Perhaps a konichi-wa will be heard/offered again some day?

I think from the musical point of view "Sayonara" is one of the most beautiful farewell words I know.
Lovely!

Whatever the implied meaning,  you have
captured the bittersweet taste of it well..
