Your Far Away Child

( My granddaughter has been going through the process of adopting a child from China.She has her pictures and video and was expecting a call any day to be allowed to go and fetch her.The SARS scare is holding everything up.I wrote this for her.)

Your Far Away Child

You haven't had a chance to hold her
Or kiss her satin cheek.
You must believe that others love her
And caress her as we speak.
Your mother heart is hurting
And time's a hateful thing
That is staying the fulfillment
That the sight of her will bring.

It must be her guardian angel
Who chose her for you alone.
You must trust that selfsame angel
To battle the unknown
Forces that are keeping
You and your child apart.
All delays will be forgotten
Once you've held her to your heart.

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Joyce, it saddens me to hear of the SARS outbreak spreading, but I believe in love, there is nothing that can stop it and very soon your grand-daughter and her child will be together forever! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, this made me cry to know of you and your grand-daughters golden hearts, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Joyce, thank you for sharing!
