Aerosol Of Regrets
~*Marge Tindal*~

Thoughts propelled in widespread of night
Aerosol of regrets … that we didn’t get it right
Exploding into a vast abyss …

All of the things I didn’t think I’d miss
turn me around in regret
Sadly I exhale … the memories
realizing I’m not over you yet

No more will my lips taste of your sweet kiss
perhaps that is the saddest recall
If I don’t count looking into your eyes …
back when you were my all~

I could not fix, what I did not break
so my heart … in gentle quake
simply turned … and walked away~

But …
...……………...Oh, how I miss you this night~

~Sometimes, it's just a poem~
Sometimes, not~

"I could not fix, what I did not break"

I have lived this, felt so keenly now again with your poem.  Big hugs!

that we didn't get it right~

Ahhhh... the despair of it...

and while we are 'all' to each other, don't we fear that one day we will look back to the times when we could have got it right

and yet in pain, we look back to pray (and cry) for the one chance that went amiss and curse ourselves for not getting that one thing right!!!

----------

ah!! life
you hand over the chalice
yet you tip the cup of joy
with an edge of glass
and a spot of venom

that there is forever
an even chance to win or lose

and yet maybe
what's lost is yet what is gained

ah!! life you are your own regret
and also your greatest joy
-----------
well, don't know what to say... except that I always enjoy your writes...

regards,
sudhir

It's a heart breaker either way.

Marge, perhaps it's a poem, perhaps not, but it is very sad either way.

Sending loves and hugs, Marti

I appreciate you all.

Sometimes life gives us memories to squeeze,
and sometimes we just have to~

This one is really dedicated to my used-to-be, with many, many years of good remembers that rain down on us at the most unpredictable times~

I have a feeling it's also dedicated to a "someday-will-be".... and that the best of the memories will be renewed. That seems to be the way of it, though not always of course, but often enough to count.

I could not fix, what I did not break

How many times have I bloodied my head against a brick wall because of my refusal to accept just that? *S*

I loved the title... loved every word of it. *S*

Marge...I have had some "Aersol Regrets"; but you have expressed what so many other women have felt with true grace and beauty of poetic expertise. Thanks, Marge. ***Ivy Rose

I hope all is well with you, friend.

Dearest Sis,

Pray everything's OK. Life (so much of the time) is like a merry-go-round. Sometime falling off is good in the sense that you can get a good look at where you're going, or in other cases, not going.

love dale

Oh, Marge, I haven't come here for so long, but Dale told me about this poem...
The power of this pain moved me strongly ... it worries me for you.  You have such a gift for writing, and have painted this hauntingly poignant poem with such clarity.  In your heart there is such beauty.   I'll keep you in my prayers.

IvyRose~
What a lovely, lovely comment.  Thank you~

Vicky~
AND you will always 'know'~
'Cause I tucked the bed covers in real tight~

Dale and Rosemary~
What loving friends you both are.
Your concern for me is greatly appreciated.
Just wanting you both to know that I am fine, really~

Sometimes in the dead of night
memories of the past take flight
Touching this little heart of mine
ending up in my rhyme~

This piece actually honors the first love of my life, the father of our four children.
And though we are no longer 'together' ...
a part of our hearts will always be 'together'~
We remain the bestest of friends~

I soooooooooooo appreciate you all~
