The Blues Don't Forget (blues electric)

Gonna sit at home
by the firelight
Watch shadows climb the wall
try'n get through the night.
Open a new bottle
fill up a glass
drink to the mem'ries
of the love we had.

Build:
I know everyone needs something to do
but me I'm slowly dying thinkin bout you......

Chorus:
I know you left me
but you're not gone yet
you're still right here
where the blues don't forget

I wanna call out your name
tell you bout my love
feel that old sweet mood
between the two of us
But I know you can't hear me
just these dancing shadows speak
they keep reminding me that
you're not here with me.

I'll stare at the flames til my heart grows numb
drink away these feelings till a dead sleep comes.

I know you left me
but you're not gone yet
you're still right here
where the blues don't forget.

Bridge:
I'll talk to your picture
pretend you can hear
beg for some answers
through a veil of tears

I know you left me
but you're not gone yet
you're still right here
where the blues don't forget.........

The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up
spaces of consciousness and resistance; to language oppressions; to
re-language historie

Takes a long time to erase the memories - do they ever go? Took me back to my divorce.
Well said Ethome.

Ethome, what a beautiful blues love song!!
I would love to hear the sounds of the lonesome
in the music with it.

(sigh) Oh Eric, this is a wonderful song, sweet friend, I would love to hear an audio recording of it as soon as possible, I love playing and writing too and who knows, I may cover this into a Latin re-mix or something! (smiles) This is very heatfelt, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Eric, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
