“WILLOW WEEPING”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
Once when my soul decided it would sigh,
I sat under a Willow with want of you,
its limbs caressed my shoulders soft,
reminded me of desires that you do…
Willow spoke then with weeping words,
of love gone wrong and too far apart,
distance also great, phone lines warm,
close to ending with a broken heart…
Thoughts of wisdom touched my being,
warmth flowed inside and throughout,
passionate thoughts burned into my veins,
to be with you again was not in doubt…
This Willow weeping, speaking of thoughts,
about many times then, and what might be,
awakenings flowed through and through,
when the Willow released my soul and me…
Interesting, the way you have woven the willow to this theme.  Ever bending in the weather of relationship...pain that causes the soul to rise and rejoice. Well done. TD
Once I was
a willow weeping,
Lost my way
Thru' blue tears seeping.
From my eyes
Pools liquefied,
Alone and lost
I cried, and cried.
Then a rose
Of ruby red,
Dried my tears
No more to shed.
The breezes sway
The willow rose
Rocking gently
With life flows.
I must say it's very good, and the second poem by earth angel also.  Buenos suertes to both of you.
(sigh) Among all the dreadlocks and the pompadours the willows wear, I do think they are answering the tears you feel! (big hugggssssss) This is very heartfelt, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bill, thank you for sharing!
May love and light always shine upon you!
BC:  Sitting under a wheeping willow has some magical soothing relief for the soul while one contemplates the past, present, and future.  Nicely done!
Bill, though there is a sadness about this,
it is so beautiful. Very good writing. I loved it all, but these last two verses
really touched me.
Thoughts of wisdom touched my being,
warmth flowed inside and throughout,
passionate thoughts burned into my veins,
to be with you again was not in doubt…
This Willow weeping, speaking of thoughts,
about many times then, and what might be,
awakenings flowed through and through,
when the Willow released my soul and me…
Bill,
I have one of those lost loves who has not left my soul.  I believe I need to find the nearest weeping willow and allow my tears to nourish its roots as it releases me and my soul.
Lovely writing, my dear.
