Candlelight whispers-
long hours tonight;
turn over all that you said.
Fragmenting a silence,
the need to cry,
soft white light surrounding.

These sharp-suited scholars
could never give knowledge
to sink with news of your pain.
Of days like these,
a shaking fear;
the murmur of lost midnight children

Pale, staring faces
imagined in silence;
a black and white film of our lives.
While shadowed projections
play on the lamplight,
We'll try not to listen tonight.

Hold on.

Pete,

Yes, hold it to a mirror.

I can only keep repeating what I keep saying with each new poem of yours.

They are incredibly touching, woven interestly deep. Someone here, ummm, it was Ron who taught me, though he probably forgot, to read once, and then read the second (or third) time for the layering. I do and sometimes actually understand the intent.

No idea why you are not getting more replies.

Hugs, Pat
