happiness brings bad poetry
at least in this notebook it does
sunsets are better drawn from a bottle
or the back of a bongload
the women involved
must be ruinous harlots
disguised in their deceit
distinguished by their crutch
when it comes to the satin souls
I need to use a thesaurus
or a ghost writer
when love is involved
and I am not destitute from it
my machinery tends to smoke
from unfamiliar conditions
but today
she told me
that she loved me
and I don’t care if the poetry
is good or bad
when everything else
is right
