Blues player...play for me

Bend those strings
Un-spoken words
That only chosen
Knowing ones
Can hear...feel me bleed

Poet...write for me

Let the dead weight of heartache
Pour out onto the paper
As your sorrows
Of forgotten tomorrow's
Pours into ink...feel me bleed

Singer...sing for me

Look life and death in the eye
Lyrics inside that make strong men cry
Bits of paper and rhyme
Find the time
Let our anguish find the words
To be free
Suddenly please...bleed for me

Now that you've done
All that you can
Mr.Blues player, singer,
Poet writer man,
Combine the three
And let me see
Just this one last request
Please, please...conquer our quest

Die for me...feel me bleed

we all listen to music for different reasons.  You've just shown here that many times, it's for emotional benefits.

This was great!

I think that you've captured the anguish of the Blues so very well here. I swore that I  heard the saxophone wailing out my name in the background as I read. Good job.

Dennis, I love the blues.  You have captured the emotion we all have, searching for those creative voices that will reach in and drive us.  I am learning so much about poetry from all of the great poets here.  Thank you for this great slice of education.  I enjoy all poetry and it is hard not to vote for most, but I try to be professional.  I must say you deserve this vote.

God bless you.
