Where do the stars go
When the sun comes out to play
Where do they sleep
When the moon has gone away
How can they fall from the sky
So silently, Peacefully
How can you make a wish
For a simple smile, or a gentle kiss

I see the starlight
Reflected in your eyes
They look into my soul
See through my disguise
What brought you here to me
Was it broken love, or the stars above
Why do you run from me
So carefully, yet wild and free

I wait for the day
To give way to the dark of night
The first star of the night
Breaks through the dying light
How can you see the stars
Through the city lights, shining bright
They dance for me every night
So pure and clear, I wish you were here

I really like this poem...like a sad love song, but a beautiful
one. I look forward to reading more of your poetry.
