* * *

I live beneath a cloak of darkness
I fear my life won't be the same
My mind seems far in distance
I barely answer to my name

This disease is like a poison
Through my veins it seems to flow
It is black and it is evil
Inside me I feel it grow

It's taken away my dignity
And left me without hope
Each day seems like the other
All alone I struggle to cope

I live within the shadows
And I've become a recluse
Won't someone break these chains
Please set my spirit loose

I experience no joy in living
And I fear what I've become
Won't someone draw the curtains
And introduce me to the sun?

* * * *

Written for all those people who suffer
or have suffered from depression, such a
debilitating illness that often lacks
compassion and proper understanding.

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

So very many of us can relate to this Sue.
Very nicely written with much compassion.

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Sue, I know this feeling ever so well and my heart goes out to all who suffer this disease as I used to suffer it severely and almost took my own life! (wipes tears) I send angel hugs to everyone this holiday season and wish for compassion to comfort them all! Gd Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Yes, Sue,
You told of this terrible thing very well. You always do, though, on whatever your subject is.
Thank you for sharing your heart.

Sue, you captured the essence of depression--and so eloquently.

P.S. these pics you've been posting are incredible! I enjoy them almost as much as I do your fine poetry!

hugs,
Linda
