"WALKIN' IN A DOGGIE WONDERLAND"

Dogs tags ring, are you listening'?
In the lane, snow is glistening'.
It's yellow, not white - I've been there tonight,
Marking up my winter wonderland.

Smell that tree? That's my fragrance.
It's a sign for wand'ring vagrants;
"Avoid where I pee, it's MY property!
Marked up as my winter wonderland."

In the meadow Mom and Dad will build a snowman,
following the classical design.
Then I'll lift my leg and let it go Man,
So all the world will know that it is mine!

Straight from me to the fencepost,
flows my natural incense boast;
"Stay off of my turf, this small piece of earth,
I mark it as my winter wonderland."

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Thank you both for your replies.
Salty - No one gets near our house when Bessie (Our German Shepherd) is loose, and as I am a little short of cash this Christmas, you are right!!!  Carol Singers will not make it up the drive !!!

LOL, just snuggle under that tree, no need for wrappings. That's where the best wonderland is anyway, isn't it?
Congratulations to both of you.

Oh, Darling, you have outdone yourself this time!!!!!!  I think this is outrageously funny and also well penned....and Bessie, our beautiful dog, thinks you wrote it just for her!!!  So Bravo, and let's have more, ok?

ROFL!  Oh, I enjoyed this MusicMaker!  Perfection in cadence and rhyme throughout ... with an absolutely delightful flow!  Really well done (and my old shepherd would have loved this "ode to doggy turf"). Just great, thanks for the grins.

Best wishes,
/Kit

Thank you one and all for the lovely replies - Yes, it was a 'doggerel' type rhyme LOL - It just pleases me that it has brought a smile to a few faces, and makes all the head scratching for matching verse all worth while.
Happy Crimbo Everyone !!!!!!!
