Oh God, I don't know what to think;
I don't know what to do or feel.
I'm stuck...
possibly trapped.
I write too emotionally for some and
not emotionally enough for others.
Where my niche is I don't know
I don't know if I WANT to find it.
I want romance but it's not given me.
Guess it would help if I weren't afraid to ask for it.
I'm just...
not me.

All I want is a poem;
admittance that he feels how he says
but I don't recieve.
I won't ask because I want him to think of it on his own

maybe I'm just dreaming of something that'll never happen
so I sigh and feel sorry for myself because I'm too lazy
to walk downstairs to fetch my journal;
and hence the hardening process begins

my maturing from being a teenager with teenage emotions goes
on hold again, and I admit that I want sympathy and recognition

I just want to be free from my own self

I liked this...the title seemed sad...but the content was so honest.

Emotions of the young (in comparison to an
older (much) person)  can be a roller coaster
at Coney Island in the middle of the Summer
while it is snowing, so to speak....

Patience,  a virtue seldom gained through
heredity...slowly comes to most and is most
invaluable to those who possess it....

Ya can't make the horse drink...and sometimes
you cannot even lead it to water...

I think you are doing just fine...

Ah, being a teenager can be rotten.  Can't give you any advice on this but that my sister went through the same thing and had to stay away from fast food and vitamins.  Anyway, it's very honest and that's good.  Merry Christmas.

Skyfire...sweetie,
Those who become hard aren't honest! Sorry you are disqualified. And as for your plight, when it's right you'll know. BTW, shame on him.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Rhonda, I like the way that you write your feelings out with such honesty. Don't write just to please other, but to please yourself....just like you did here.
As far as the guy is concerned, just keep being yourself and if it's meant to be, he will come around. (It wouldn't hurt to let him know that you'd like some poetry from him....you know, just a few hints here and there).

"maybe I'm just dreaming of something that'll never happen"

Hmmm...somehow, I don't think so.

You lay your sentiments out to dry in sunlight in this forthright piece, and that in itself is worth more than you think
Keep writing, poetess of passion
