We've got the rockin lil Christmas blues
so put on your dancing shoes
we'll be rockin the night away
straight into our Christmas day.
Then we'll take off our dancing shoes
and put away those blues,
we'll be singing a different song
Christmas caroling all the day long.

There will be all kinds of toys
for good little girls and boys,
and their might be one for you
cuz grownups are just kids too.
When the day finally comes to an end
we'll be dancing those blues again....

Oh we've got the rockin  lil  Christmas  blues....

I know that you can 'read' me
but can you  'hear'  "me"?

As a musician, I am at a loss as to how, over the years, rockin' has been associated with the Blues!!!  Blues are low down mournful songs (Dirges in a modern format), and Rocking is a happy bouncy upbeat tempo !!!, but in spite of this misnomer - which I hasten to add is definatly not your fault - I loved this write, and, who knows, someone with more compositional skills than myself may just see it in here and put the verse to music.
Kind thoughts to you and yours for this festive season,
