Your travels take you far my love
To lay thee down on stranger shores
My thoughts take flight to join you there
And in my dreams this sound adores

My fingertips to stroke your brow
To lay thee worries softly down
My heart takes flight to join you there
And in these whispered sweets renown

I slip beside to feel by heart
To lay there warmly bathed in smile
My mind wraps close to ease your dreams
And in my care to chat a while

You’ll find most tender of my words
Upon your pillow lay
My heart takes flight to hold you close
Conversing soft the miles away

And in my dreams this sound adores

There's a sense of well being and such
comfort in your words...

I liked this a lot...

As comforting as laying down a weary head, next to a beloved, upon feathered down, at day's end, a ghost as real as the heart who beats for it:  these span the distance, and bring close the loved ones too far to be with it.

Kathleen, as you always do, write with a loving and caring nobility.

Merry Christmas, sweet Kathleen.
Jeff

Kathy...here's hoping Christmas brings you near to the one you love, even if only in heart. Love, you know, can bridge all distances.
Merry Christmas
