Time Walker

I measure you in moments,
an interval of time,
recording those instances
that let me experience you.

I adjust you to my liking,
setting the tempo to repeat only that
which brings me pleasure.

I've come a long way,
battling the unseen, relying on
the softness of a heart
that needed mending...
with needle and thread
quilting the past, present
and soon to be future,
into a patchwork of healing.

You are but a juncture in time,
while I gauge the memories
trying to balance these feelings,
holding onto love, as the night
moves me into the day
beneath another full moon.

And I soften the hard that penetrated
and endured, blow by blow producing
a sounder me, a stronger me
free from control, loyal to no one
but myself.

I walk with time in silent echo,
fear being my justification,
acceptance being my condition
and patience, my silhouette.

My thirst for, no longer a need.
My hunger for, no longer craved.
"Contentment", the special of the day,
as I learn to surrender and walk
in no ones shoes but my own...

One of life's greatest lessons
is when to offer vulnerablity
And when not to.  I don't know as
I've figured it out yet.
This is a nicely phrased work
of an eternal truth.  KJ

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

Maureen,
Walking in your own shoes is a good thing, enjoyed.

(sigh) Yes, and you embrace the world with a heart of gold, sweet friend, keep knitting those threads and push that needle thread and no gale can push you back! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Maureen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Ah....I absolutely love this one. I think it's my favorite of yours to date. We've all done our share of mending

This is only one example of why I read everything you post. Outstanding, emotional imagery that rings so true to the ebb and flow of the heart.

I thank you all...I would love to individually but I am worn out adult sitting a friend who last week had brain surgery and then helping a neighbor by watching her small children so she could get their presents without them.
I am so disorganized at the moment and barely have time to read let alone reply. But I do stop  to read when I  am giving myself a rest
Thank you for reading me...
Have a Merry Christmas and take time to care for yourselves.

This is just what I needed,
a pair of shoes to call my OWN.
