I felt your breath today
as a gentle breeze blew by
smelled your perfume
dancing on breeze like a kite

I went to a flower store
and just looked
watching smiles comming
and going
and thought of you

Everyday I look for you
In the faces of the crowd
but fail to find
that one angelic one
that used to be mine

I wrote you a poem
which I'll never send
sung you a song
you'll never hear

I wonder if you're still
the beauty
in my memories
I smile
as I smell a flower
deciding to leave your memory
on my shelf
for me to smile another day.

Hmmmmm...this is a hard day.  I too have hard memories.  I love the way you refer to smell a lot in your pieces.  Smell is so important to me.  I love a man that wears cologne and I relate many memories to smell.

As always, loved it.

Brad...sometimes the memories become a little bais through time, they don't dull, but rather become shaped to form our perfect image...perhaps put the memories on the shelf and embrace the future Nice write by the way

Brad, this is really beautiful. I think she would like it, if she had a chance to read it....
