Some nights the wind sighs whispers of your name
Some times the snow flies and I find myself insane
I saw the change of seasons missing you my dear
Now I wish for springtime and winter roads to clear

They say roads all lead two ways one out and one way back
But every time I travel them it seems there is a lack
I have not found my way home to you after all this time
so I find myself asking were you ever really mine

Chorus:

Winter still brings freezing times and I can feel the chill
Of being far away from you in these lonely hills
Springtime I can pray for but wonder if the warm
Will thaw an icy heart enough to keep us both from harm

Sometime in the midnight I see your shadow still
Leaving all my soul and me with unsuspecting chill
Sometimes I reach my hands out looking for a touch
But shadows don’t have substance and I’m left wanting much

Daylight brings the morning sun and another day
With roads to drive and memories to take me on my way
One day I’ll stop running from these sleepless nights and you
But for now I’m riding white lines with my Oklahoma blues

Chorus:

Winter still brings freezing times and I can feel the chill
Of being far away from you in these lonely hills
Springtime I can pray for but wonder if the warm
Will thaw an icy heart enough to keep us both from harm

Don't say this often...wish I'd written that.

Yup! That's it...the show goes on the road..
Can I be one over-the-hill back up singer?!
Does your source of talent ever run dry? No way!
Okay...okay...so I'm a groupie as well.
Good stuff Captian!

(smiles) Oh Ron, this is wonderful, I have never seen the musical side of you before, but truly you have a talent in you and with your love of the written word you can pen a Billboard hit, yay! (big hugggssssss) This is marvelous, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ron, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
