Mistletoe Dreams (For Joanna)
By: Noah Eaton
12/14/01

Under the soft mistletoe
Our desires invigorate
An early Christmas present to last forever
This holiday kiss I can’t refrain

You are my heart’s greatest treat
So long I’ve dreamed for our lips to meet
You have given me Christmas, you have made me complete
It feels just like a Monet dream

It’s fancy seeing you here, sweetheart
Pucker up, my love, as the jingle bells ring
My promise of true love shines from the Christmas star
Sing to me, sweet angel, embrace me

Deep within your eyes of crystal
Pristine sunrises and promising sunsets cascade
As ripe as the berries of this magic sprig that lulls
Over our heads, where our love shall welcomingly bade

Embrace me, sweet darling
In this Mistletoe Dream
Wrap your arms around me
And kiss me…

"Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..."

Shakira

Noah, How truly lovely. Blessed she is to have your love.

I like:

"just like a Monet dream", among others of your sweet lines.

Hugs, Pat

A long while ago, Noah, I told another of our well-known poets, brevity is wonderful.  This is one of your less wordy poems...and I am enjoying it so very much...

and it's colorful, too!

Joanna...you have a gem.  But you already know that, don't you?

Hey Noah!  It's after midnight, I am wrapping grandkids presents till my hands turn blue.  But before my fingers whittle into stumps or i pass out, whichever comes first, Here's a wish, straight from my heart to you, old buddy:   Merry Christmas, and may God grant your wish with Joanna tout suite.
PS....great poem...which i wrote it!  *s*
and if the telephone rings, answer it...it may be a pal from the Midwest (wink)

Noah...Watch out for that Mistletoe, if you stand under it long enough, you will get sore lips.
