a very good story to read this morning: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20030201/ap_on_re_us/rosa_parks_bus_1

This morning
I sat on Rosa's bus
in my memory banks,
to honor this lady
who would not stand up
for anything less
than freedom.
For Rosa Parks,
always a hero
who stands tall
in my memory.
Now all the young
and the old
can sit
at the front
of the bus.

she certainly deserves the honor.

Thank you Noah. Rosa's stature as a heroic citizen who stood for personal freedom and civil rights was hundreds of times greater than her physical size.

Kacy,
enlightening! I guess even America needed such struggles to evolve into a nation with people relatively free of bigotry and prejudice?

Thanks for the history lesson

Dixie, thanks!

Kaile, you are welcome, dear student

Ron, yes, there are many silent, 'unpublished' heros.
