Don't you hear the sparrows
dying in the distance
from lack of breath

Breathless too I am it seems
I wondering where the clockmaker
has run off to
drunk on whiskey smoking his pipe
stroking his long white matted beard
while his clocks fall
lifeless

The hiddieous music of crashing
awakens him from slumber
brushing the clock off
winding it and falling back to sleep

I have crashed
fallen to the ground
laying on my back
my springs all unwound
praying the clockmaker
will come and save me from
this fine mess
but oh dear alass
I heard he fell of his chair
split open his head
and of course is dead

You can of course leave
a message
and the next available representative
will be with you as quickly
as possible

I am losing breath
faster

Ask me about my book!

I loved these lines:

"I have crashed
fallen to the ground
laying on my back
my springs all unwound"

I to have been unwound lately.  Where oh where are our perspective clockmakers?

Great work, love the symbolism.

Susan

Ok, what about your book?
Time waits for no one.
Not even the clockmaker
can escape the falling hands
of the master of all time.
Fate awaits.
