Missing you, Poem #942

It will soon be that time of year,
tears and memories and me not wanting
to admit that day by day the memory
of your face has become more like a pursuit,
the day following the setting sun,
melting slowly into the comfort of
darkness and forget.

Your touch I long ago painted
with erase, my skin might crawl
with the lacking of you but
I plainly refuse to let it crave.

The wiggle in my walk was always for you,
just so you know, respect of your adore
now wears my shirt tails
long.

But, my love, I wanted to reassure you,
I am stronger. Now. I go days sometimes
weeks without crying,  but these long
empty days insist I send you my regrets-
time is slipping down my back
into long curls and you
are not here to
enjoy them.

They say that time heals all, but hearts, I firmly
believe, must be immune because mine
still hurts for
you.

I can say nothing to do justice.. so will only say I read it and know sometimes the depths are never bridged.

JB, good to see you here again today. I really enjoyed this, though it was sad to me. Missing someone can be very hard..

JB,

The meaning, of course heart touching, and the creativity, line by line, very enjoyable. Liked how you wrote this.

Enjoyed,  Hugs, Pat

I loved the title and was even more impressed with the poem.  Amazing after 942 times, you could say it as if it were just as painful as the first time.

I started copying and pasting my favorite parts... and realized I'd copied so much I had the entirety. *S*

Some are unforgettable... and though the pain might ease, the missing will continue as long as does breath. I can't think of a better tribute to him, lady.
