In the dusk of the day, as my mind clears away
Pretty chimes fill the air, whispers breeze through my hair
Looking out to the sky, with my heart tuned up high
There to see me so well, dazzled mute in the spell

Sent to watch over me, in a kind revelry
Taken harp, taken tears, taken all of these years

In the falling of night, as the moon shines it’s light
Favors flow to my eyes, an unending surprise
Carried out for my best, every moment so blessed
There to see me so well, all confusion dispel

Sent to watch over me, in a kind revelry
Taken harp, taken tears, taken all of the years

In the midnight soft tone, as my future is shone
Paper chase, handcraft lace, filling softly with grace
Bending down to my knees, for the gifts such as these
There to see me so well, truthful coming to tell

Sent to watch over me, in a kind revelry
Taken harp, taken tears, taken all of these years

In succumb to lie down, in the sea to be drown
Pipers lilt in sweet voice, taking over by choice
Sleep to be a best friend, comfort brought to the end
There to see me so well, peacefully chimes the bell

Sent to watch over me, and forever to be
Taken harp, taken tears, angel mine always hears

This is so utterly touching, it put tears in my eyes. The rhythm is still going on in my head as I type this.

Awesome! Thank you for sharing your fine poetry with us.

Warmest regards  Pat

To be one who has this gift...a treasure..
to be one who gives...also a treasure...

Beautiful words...very beautiful words...

You have a place where one resides
Where one stands beside and never hides.
Where one comforts and takes your hand.
Always there,  wherever you stand.

nice passage of life here..a  grammatical note though..you might like to adjust the drown to drowned..think that would sound so much better too, just a suggestion

meh. i wouldnt go as far as stunning,
but i did enjoyed it. the rhyming served
as its backbone i think--kept me
wanting more. lept my attention, and
that deserves commending--especially
with long poems. still, cool write.
