I got a card this morning-
From up in Tennessee.
The card read, "Season's Greetings",
Beneath a Christmas tree.

And scrawled inside, "I miss you"-
And, "I'm sure feeling blue".
Signed, "with love, Your angel,
I wish I were with you."

I thought about the plans we made-
And all that life would be,
The only thing that's wrong out here,
Is you are not with me.

I have the Texas prairies-
The blue, southwestern skies,
The stars so brilliant, overhead,
Remind me of your eyes.

The holidays are nearing-
And, babe, it's plain to see,
The only thing that's wrong out here,
Is you're not here with me.

A very heartfelt poem, John...I'm with Passing shadows...gas up the car and get on the road to be with this lady..

Awwww...I can't even imagine not being with my other half this holiday season! What a beautiful way to express your emotion...I agree also with sorrow...go surprise her!!
