there you go
you swept away my heart
again, like always
ever so successfully

and I stand here
ruing my decision
to take a look at you
yet again

I should have known:
pictures should be pictures
and memories should remain
what they are meant to be
the past shouldn’t be allowed
to become the present
and yesterdays don’t deserve
to be todays again

and it seems impossible
for me to relive yesterdays
as if nothing happened

yet when I see you
like I did today,
my heart melts
like wax of a burning candle
the flame of which is too hot

so hot it hurts
like aching memories of you
(rather of not being with you)

oh! how they are evoked
like fountains from hell
leaving darkness
after droplets of light
leaving behind a drought
after a light shower of rain

and Roger Waters bleeds
through the speakers of my radio
with The Bravery Of Being Out of Range
though I am sure he meant
something else

and you left me Comfortably Numb
to lie Amused to Death
thinking of the Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking
and maybe at the end
it will all make Perfect Sense
when the Happiest days of Our Lives
would be darkened by the Eclipse
and there will be laid
Another Brick in the Wall

then again,
how I would Wish You Were Here

---------------
all italics are titles of songs written by the great songwriter/poet Roger Waters (formerly from Pink Floyd)... so all credit is due to him...

many thanks for coming by ...

you just get better and better my friend...

the voice you write in has changed a great deal from the first I read from you... it is as if the language itself is evolving to fit the complexity of your feelings and ideas..

This is wonderful, Sudhir. I love the poem and I also love the music. In fact, I love almost all music.
Thank you....
