it stalks with no shoes
and in passing
air does not move,
though in presence
cheeks grow angry red
spanked by cold(hot) wind
and lips freeze
in a perfect Oh!(Oh Baby!)

it speaks with fingers
stabbing center,
leaving a hole (leaving whole)
the most vital of organs--
cozy-wrapped
in death's(life's) shawl,
touched by the widow's hand
(thunderstruck)
on a straight line
to never(ever) after

and they all fall victim
to the invisible(inevitable) cause,
perpetuated
by an endless cycle
of a need to hate(love),
riding the fine line--

some,
read the headlines,
victims
found, mourned, and buried;

others,
keep reading the fairytale
hoping for a different ending

"And it was at that age...Poetry arrived in search of me...And something started in my soul."
Pablo Neruda

True write, some never see that the fantasy is just that.

i liked the way this was written, but i have to read again after coffee; as it is two thoughts woven together coming at me at once,
i think tho that we can go both ways tho at times, i know i can

Sandpiper,

Loved the title and the ending...
many good lines, as well.

Enjoyed greatly.

(big hugggsssssssss) There are so many devils among us all in disguise and love can sometimes not be too kind to so many of the innocent and dreaming! (sad sigh) This is powerful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sandpiper, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
